About the role:
The FP&A Analyst will work alongside the FP&A Manager to deliver a best-in-class FP&A platform, producing timely and accurate financial information to the Senior Management Team (“SMT”) and Board. The role will support budgeting and forecasting for the Groups costs (Tech, CX, Marketing, Supply and Support functions) and ensure all regulatory reporting is submitted in line with requirements. It is critical for the successful candidate to thrive in hitting deadlines, have a keen eye to continuously improve processes and learn new systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of monthly management reporting to the SMT and Board
- Support the annual budgeting process utilising Anaplan to capture the groups cost base and how this will scale in the long-term
- Involvement in quarterly forecast cycles throughout the year
- Develop good relationships with business heads and help support them in managing their expenditure goals against budget, clearly identifying risk and opportunities
- Proactively seek innovation and automation in budgeting and management reporting to streamline and simplify the process, whilst ensuring accuracy and high quality of information is provided
- Produce all reporting requirements for regulators (CAA etc.) in an accurate and timely manner
- Support in cash flow forecasting, both short-term and long-term
- Ensure the booking store is fit for purpose and provides Finance with the relevant information in an easy and accessible manner
- Support and involvement in any Finance Transformation projects
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- Qualified Accountant (newly qualified to 1-2 years post qual)
- Ability to work with non-finance stakeholders in a collaborative manner whilst providing challenge to the numbers
- Extremely diligent and delivers on time and gets things right first time
- Organised, task focused and will go the extra mile to get things done
- Strong systems and IT skills covering G-suite (G-Sheets, G-slides), MS Excel, Anaplan (desirable), Looker (desirable), SQL (desirable), Sun (desirable)
