About the role:

The Senior Commercial Analyst sits within the Commercial Finance team which is responsible for reporting, financial planning and analysis and business partnering for the Group. The analyst will support the Senior Commercial Finance Manager and the wider business to deliver MI and insight into business performance in order to enable data assisted decision making and drive growth and profitability. The role offers exposure to senior management and the opportunity to work for a fast growth technology enabled business.

Key Responsibilities:

● Assist with preparation of our weekly reporting suite in a timely and accurate manner, including continuous improvement focused on delivery and quality of information

● Support the Accounting team information and analysis required for Month-End close

● Assist in preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecasts for the Group, taking full ownership for various components and business streams.

● Clear understanding of business operating levers, financial and non-financial KPIs to support the business build out business cases and propositions to understand the financial impact of key business initiatives

● Support and involvement in any Finance Transformation and ad hoc projects

● Proactively seek innovation and automation in budgeting and management reporting to streamline and simplify the process, whilst ensuring accuracy and high quality of information is provided

Qualifications, Experience & Attributes:

● Qualified Accountant (3-4 years post qual)

● Experience working with high volumes of data with the aptitude to understand vast and complex information, and convey in a simple, clear and concise manner

● Ability to work with non-finance stakeholders in a collaborative manner whilst providing challenge to the numbers

● Proven experience of delivering process improvements utilising systems to automate in a robust and scalable manner

● Strong systems and IT skills covering G-suite (G-Sheets, G-slides), MS Excel, Anaplan (desirable), Looker (desirable), SQL (desirable)

● Extremely diligent and delivers on time and gets things right first time

● Organised, task focused and will go the extra mile to get things done

● Experience in travel industry and/or ecommerce (desirable)

This is a six-month Fixed Term Contract. It is a hybrid remote role, so there will be 2 days per week worked in the London head office based in Hammersmith.
