The impact you’ll have:
Reporting into the Finance Manager for Supplier Payments - our Team Leader will lead a team of 6 and ensure that our trade suppliers as well as overheads’ suppliers are paid on time. The ideal candidate will have experience in executing an end to end payment run, preferably as part of managing a team.
Your day-to-day:

Managing Supplier Payments team members to ensure that all payments are
captured in time for the weekly payment run -
Perform a detailed review of the payment file to ensure accuracy and
completeness of the process -
Identify key risks and implement robust internal controls within the payment run
process to mitigate those risks - Standardise and document key processes
- Identify areas for operational improvement/ automation
- Support Supplier Payments Manager on supplier related recoveries
- Capture and report on weekly KPIs for the department
- Partner with rest of the business to support on finance related queries
- Support Financial Reporting team on period end and audit related queries
- Provide mentoring and coaching to the rest of the team
Your skillset:
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Understanding of supplier disputes and recoveries
- Exposure to Operational Efficiency and Finance Automation
- Excellent with building relationships with rest of the business as well as external stakeholders
- Significant exposure to payments and reconciliation systems
- Understanding of key risks within a standard payment run process
- Self starter and proactive
Not necessary but would be desirable to have:
- G Suite experience
- Basic SQL
- Hospitality industry experience
