About the team
This role will be part of our People & Culture team, reporting into the Chief People Officer. It is a maternity backfill for a 12 month fixed-term contract. It is a people manager role, with at least 2 direct reports.
The impact you'll have
As Head of People Experience & Operations, you will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing all aspects of building and maintaining our people infrastructure, covering a broad range of generalist people and culture topic areas including people query resolution, core people policies and processes, global mobility, and people systems, data and tech.

Your day-to-day:
- Build and manage the loveholidays people operational infrastructure, focusing on scalable support models to enhance agility, efficiency, and employee experience.
- Collaborate with employees, leaders and People team members to refine HR processes and systems, identifying opportunities for standardisation and automation while accommodating local regulations.
- Lead the ongoing improvement of our people tech stack, specifically hiBob.
- Use data to drive insights into process effectiveness, organisational health, efficiency and vendor optimisation.
- Leverage people data to solve complex business problems and uncover actionable insights for leadership.
- Plan, lead and oversee the overall People operations team portfolio of work, in support of wider organisational strategic priorities; act as an escalation point for prioritisation and key decision making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of people operations specialists.
- Actively manage a portfolio of vendors, conduct periodic reviews and negotiate contracts to ensure value.
- Oversee benefits management; proactively monitor utilisation and spend, and support implementation / changes to new and existing benefit programs.
- Lead on all aspects of payroll excellence, ensuring the accuracy of global payrolls and continually implementing operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and best practices across different countries, including the development of policies.
Your skillset:
- Proven experience scaling people operations and processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, ideally within a tech or fast-growing organisation.
- Strong experience in project ownership/leadership, with an extreme bias for action.
- Analytical mindset, with an appreciation for the importance of effective metrics, and ability to use data insights to drive impactful change.
- Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence, with the ability tO artculate a clear vision and strategy for the team.
- Proven collaborative approach and strong ability to partner with key stakeholders of all levels across the business to drive buy-in and achieve outcomes through others.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to drive change effectively, handling unexpected challenges and complexity with composure.
- Ability to balance creating a strategic vision with the fast paced operational demands.
- Familiarity with hiBob would be desirable.
